Begin your journey with an exhilarating flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small airstrip nestled in the mountains. After landing in Lukla, start your trek towards Phakding. The trail meanders through lush forests, alongside the Dudh Koshi River. Phakding, at an elevation of around 8,700 feet, offers cozy lodges and stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Today’s trail takes you uphill to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa town and gateway to the Khumbu region. Cross suspension bridges, ascend steep slopes, and catch glimpses of Everest and Ama Dablam along the way. Namche, situated at approximately 11,300 feet, provides essential amenities, including bakeries, shops, and breathtaking mountain vistas.

This is the land of the fabled yeti, where sightings linger in local lore. Tonight, we rest in our guesthouse, whispers of the elusive creature echoing in our minds. Are yetis real? The Sherpas believe, and that mysterious cry in the night will leave you wondering.

This region boasts some of the world's highest peaks. Today's trek reveals stunning views of Mt. Cho-Oyu, the 6th tallest mountain (8,188 m/26,864 ft). Known as the "Turquoise Goddess," this majestic peak marks the western edge of the Khumbu region. Today, we witness the first of the sacred Gokyo Lakes. We'll explore three of these pristine lakes, nestled amidst glaciers. Our guesthouse awaits on the third lake, reached after a scenic four-hour trek. We'll have ample time to immerse ourselves in this breathtaking glacial landscape.

Today, we embark on our return journey to Lukla, taking a scenic alternative route via Mongla Hill. This charming destination offers cozy guesthouses and a tranquil atmosphere. Our 7-hour trek immerses us in a vibrant landscape of silver fir, pine, blooming rhododendrons, and even magnolia trees. We'll listen to the symphony of birdsong and admire the dazzling wildflowers along the way.
