Mera peak climbing, one of the Nepal’s highest trekking peaks lies on the edge of the famous Khumbu Region, where it overlooks many of the World’s highest summits, including Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse and Everest. Mera peak is quite high among trekking peaks around Himalayas; the climbing is clear-cut up to summit. A moderate climbing grade offers challenging experience of mountaineers who begin the Himalayas climbing. A sense adventure climbing and well fitness for climbing can challenge this summit climb.

We offer extra facilities on this climbing as ice climbing before summit is an extra advantage for beginners. We design the Mera peak itinerary differently which cover ice climbing, wilderness trail, local culture gives you extra mile on your climbing holiday. We have been organizing this peak since 2008 and have record of success above 95% on climbing Mera peak.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Climbing joining day in Kathmandu
Day 02: Kathmandu tour or Rock climbing course
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Chutanga
Day 04: Acclimatization day at Chutanga
Day 05: Trek to Tuli Kharka via Zatrwa La Pass
Day 06: Trek to Gothey
Day 07: Trek to Thagnag
Day 08: Rest and acclimatization day at Thagnang
Day 09: Trek to Khare
Day 10: Ice climbing practice in glacier near Khare
Day 11: Trek to Mera base camp
Day 12: Climb to Mera High Camp
Day 13: Summit day and descend to Khare
Day 14: Reserve day for unforeseen condition
Day 15: Return back to Gothey
Day 16: Trek to Tuli Kharka
Day 17: Trek back to Lukla via crossing Zatrwa La
Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 19: Leisure at Kathmandu
Day 20: Departure from Kathmandu

 

Service includes

  • All essential pick up/drop from KTM airport to hotel, Valley tours/Rock climbing by car/van as per group volume
  • Welcome dinner in Lal Durbar restaurant (Inside Hotel Yak & Yeti) + farewell dinner in Rum Doodle restaurant (Complementary)
  • Four nights sharing deluxe room in Hotel Shanker or similar with breakfast (based on 2 pax)
  • Kathmandu valley city tour or rock climbing in Pasang Lahmu foundation (One of them)
  • Both way domestic flight ticket as mentioned in itinerary to/from Lukla/Kathmandu
  • Three times meals in a day (B,L,D, Tea & Coffee) during the trekking + Mera peak climbing, breakfast at city Hotel
  • Sharing branded North Face tented accommodation during the Mera peak climbing and trekking period
  • One proficient Mera peak climbing guide (Everest summiteers), one asst. guide (In a group of 4 pax basis) and required trekking Sherpa, full payment including Mera peak trekking insurance for climbing guide and crews
  • All mandatory major climbing permit like: National Park of Makalu permit bill ($ 33.00 USD), Mera peak climbing permit ($ 300.00 USD up to 4 pax).
  • Mera peak garbage deposit cost $250.00 USD (Extra service provided by company, client shouldn’t need to pay extra )
  • Group climbing equipment/gear for Mera peak climbing provided by company
  • Portable Altitude Chamber bag (PAC/Gamoe bag) or emergency oxygen for safety
  • Sleeping bag up to – 20 degree Celsius and down jacket up to minus 20 degree Celsius
  • Safe drinking water purified by Steripen or Iodine tablet / Boiled water
  • Our company exclusive medical kit bag for first AID service
  • Our duffel bag provided in Kathmandu, company T-shirt (complementary)
  • All government and required local taxes

Service does not include

  • Nepalese visa cost $ 40.00 USD for 30 days, airfare from your home to Nepal & return
  • Individual Mera peak climbing equipment (some of hire in Kathmandu if necessary cost US$ 100)
  • Domestic plane excess baggage charges (Allowed only 10 Kg luggage,  5 Kg hand bag)
  • Lunch + dinner in KTM city except pointed
  • Your Climbing insurance and emergency rescue insurance (Recommended Insurance)  
  • Individual expenses like: phone calls, laundry + bar bills, extra porters etc
  • Tips for driver, guides and porters
  • Any extending trips (Can be extend few days for Chitwan safari)
